Call for Music Hackers at SXSW

BackplaneBackplane is a pre-launch community platform with Lady Gaga and her manager Troy Carter as backers amongst other leading Silicon Alley investors. According to TechCrunch the platform will “…combine some of the key features of Pinterest, Tumblr, Canvas, and Ning to produce a community platform that’s both highly visual and potentially highly engaging, too.” Can’t wait.

In the mean time Backplane is hosting a hackathon on March 11th at SXSW. Here are the details right from the Backplane site:

WHAT: Backplane presents the Managers Hack, a global hackathon dedicated to building the future of digital music distribution.
WHERE: St. Cecilia Hotel in Austin, Texas
WHEN: March 11, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (rain or shine)
WHO: Platforms, apps and technologies emerging from the Managers Hack will be presented to a group of the top managers in the music industry including.
