Now you help your favorite band or musician make it to the next level! By making even a small contribution to a musican's fund raising campaign you connect with them in a more meanful way than simply downloading songs or going to a show - you're helping them reach their dreams - and they will be forever grateful. Contributing to a campaign is simple.

Q. What is crowdfunding?
Crowdfunding (sometimes called crowd financing or fan funding) is a way to raise money from people who network and pool their money, usually via the Internet, to support efforts initiated by other people or organizations. Crowd funding occurs for any variety of purposes, from disaster relief to citizen journalism to artists seeking support from fans, to political campaigns, to funding a startup company or small business or creating free software.
Q. How does TuneFund work?
The TunePledge platform provides all the necessary tools to launch and promote a campaign to your network of fans. A TuneFund campaign allows you to:
- Set a campaign funding goal
- Upload a campaign pitch video(s)
- Upload songs
- Publish your bio and describe your project
- Send updates to your contributors
- Track contributions and other key campaign related metrics
- Share your campaign across all major social networks
- Set up awards for contributors
- Process contributions through PayPal
Q. Who can launch a TuneFund campaign?
TuneFund is designed for independent musicians of every kind – from singer songwriters to hip hop artists to opera singers. If you are a musician and need to raise money for career related expenses you can launch a TuneFund campaign. Some basics rules do apply however:
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must be a US citizen
- You must have a Social Security Number
- You must have a PayPal account
Q. How much does it cost to run a TuneFund campaign?
It costs nothing to set up and launch a campaign. TuneFund keeps 10% of the funds you raise as our fee.
Q. How are contributions processed?
TuneFund uses PayPal to process all contributions. Before a campaign owner can accept contributions or a fan can contribute to a campaign they must have a valid PayPal ID (your email address). PayPal fees typically range from 2% to 4% and are charged to the campaign owner.
Q. Are contributions refundable?
Yes. We will refund your contribution to your PayPal account less our 10% processing fee.
Q. Does TunePledge take a percentage of intellectual property rights?
Never. We only provide you with an awesome platform to raise money. You retain complete ownership of your intellectual property.
Q. What is a "pitch video"? A pitch video is exactly what it sounds like, a video of you introducing yourself, your music and describing the project you are raising money for. You don't have to use a video but research has shown that campaigns using video are nearly twice as successful as campaigns that do not.
Q. How many songs can I upload?
We currently limit the number of songs you can upload to your campaign to three. However you can certainly link to your own website or band page on Bandcamp or Facebook where you may have more songs.
Q. Why should I use TuneFund instead of one of the other crowdfunding sites out there?
TuneFund is founded by, operated by and dedicated solely to musicians! We're the only crowdfunding site in the US that can make that claim. Most crowdfunding sites have so many different types of fund raising projects competing for attention that its easy to get lost in crowd. No pun intended.
